Dechen Choekhor is the mother monastery and the lineage source of more than 300 branch monasteries of Drukpa Kargyu. For centuries, countless practitioners have attained enlightenment through this pure unbroken lineage’s practices and blessings.
Despite the many formidable challenges of today’s modern world, we continue to uphold the noble aspiration and intention of Jetsun Choekyi Gonpo to benefit beings and strive to dedicate our effort and focus to propagating the authentic living tradition and essence of Tibetan Buddhism and fostering a consistent and accurate understanding of its teachings and practices. We pray that peace-loving, harmonious, and caring societies could prevail through the correct understanding and application of the Buddhist principles and positive mental development.
